Seven Sisters Hike 2025
Our Route
We’ll meet at the Cadence Clubhouse Beachy Head at 9.30am for a 10am departure towards Birling Gap. Bathrooms are available before we set off. The first 4.5 kilometres take us up onto the coastal path, beginning with a reasonably flat walk before our first major decent. Look back as we start the first climb for glimpses of Beachy Head Lighthouse before we continue on past Belle Tout Lighthouse, at the top of our next rise.
A gentle decent takes us to the National Trust site at Birling Gap where we’ll stop for a chance to grab some refreshments. Bathrooms are also available here. Leaving Birling Gap, we begin to tackle the highs and lows the Seven Sisters has to offer. The path to our end point from here is 6 kilometres and takes us across the 7 rises and falls.
Travelling in this direction, the descents are steeper than the ascents making the rise a little more gentle, though do bear in mind that they are still significant hills. After the final ascent, take a moment to gaze over Cuckmere Haven before we begin our final decent towards the footpath that leads to the Seven Sisters Visitor Centre where we conclude our hike.
We expect to reach here approximately 3pm, and their café offers some fantastic options to refuel together. From here, we’ll take the 13X bus from the visitors centre, departing at 23 and 52 minutes past the hour, and a 20 minute journey will return us to our starting point.
